Eric Christopher BlackBaritone Eric Christopher Black created the role of Ronaldo Cabral in Later the Same Evening by John Musto with the Maryland Opera Studio, garnering praise from Opera News who described his singing as "strong" and his character as "florid." His repertoire is quite diverse ranging from Baroque to 21st century pieces, including Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Danilo (The Merry Widow), Guglielmo (Così fan tutte), Belcore (L'elisir d'amore), Ben (The Telephone), Maximillian (Candide), Falke (Die Fledermaus), Montauciel (Le Déserteur), Pooh-Bah (The Mikado), and various newly composed works. Concert repertoire in his performance history is also diverse, including René Clausen's a new Creation, Duruflé's Requiem, Schumann's Op. 39 Liederkreis, Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen, Barber's Dover Beach, Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs, and Ravel's Don Quichotte à Dulcineé.

He has been invited to perform these roles and solo concert pieces at many venues in the US and abroad, including Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The National Gallery of Art, The Washington Arts Club, The Westmoreland Museum of American Art, Teatro Duse in Asolo, Italy, The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, the Opera Theater of Lucca in Lucca, Italy, and for the Naxos recording label. Among the many music festivals Eric has attended are Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca, Asolo Song Festival and Institute for the Interpretation of Song, Rising Star Singers, and The InterHarmony Music Festival.
