Family/Community and Preview Performances

To increase the accessibility of opera in the DC area, Opera Lafayette is pleased to offer low-cost family/community and preview performances for many of its mainstage performances. Tickets for these events are priced affordably, and students tickets are always free or discounted.

  • Les Femmes Vengées: Preview Performance, Thursday, January 16, 2014, 7:30 p.m. at the Kennedy Center's Terrace Theater. Tickets: $30-$35, 50% off for students. 
     
  • Le Roi et le fermier: Preview Performance, Friday, January 20, 2012, 7:30 p.m., at the Atlas Performing Arts Center, 1333 H Street, NE, Washington, DC. Tickets: $20, free for students.
  • Il Barbiere di Siviglia: Opera Lafayette is pleased to offer free tickets for youth (ages 7-17, accompanied by a paying adult) to its Sunday, April 15, 2012, 2:00 P.M., matinee performance of Paisiello's Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater. 
     
  • Duetto/Duo: Family/Community Performance with Opera Lafayette Young Artists William Bouvel (tenor) and Kelly Ballou (soprano). Sunday, October 23, 2011, 3:00 p.m., at the Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital, 921 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, Washington, DC. Tickets: $15, free for students. The family/community performance of Duetto/Duo was an Opera America National Opera Week event.
