The Madame de Maintenon Salon Series

HOSTED ONLINE

Join Opera Lafayette and Artistic Director Ryan Brown, for this two-part online Salon Series about Madame de Maintenon, the last mistress and secret wife of Louis XIV, whose time at Versailles was characterized by private concerts and music of a religious nature. Maintenon is the inspiration for our 2023-24 musical season (get tickets), which is the third and final festival highlighting the relation of historical women in 18th century France to the musical life of their time. Each session of this Salon Series will be led by different guest scholars and speakers, and feature a unique look into her life as well as François Couperin, whom our first performance of the season is dedicated to.

All sessions $18 or $10/session
*There is a small fee associated with each ticket purchase.
