Opera Starts with Oh! is a series of educational lessons created by Opera Lafayette to introduce young audiences to the magic of opera! Led by teaching artists and joined by a new guest artist for every unit, Opera Starts with Oh! is perfect for families with children pre-k and up.

Meet Tamrin Goldberg, our lead teaching artist
Tamrin Goldberg, originally from Seattle, is a Brooklyn-based performer and choreographer. She is a recipient of the New York Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Choreography, and was a winner of Opera America’s most recent Robert L.B. Tobin Director-Designer Showcase. Tamrin has choreographed for the Astoria Performing Arts Center, Yale University Dramat, Nazareth College, Harlem Village Academies, and The Secret Theater LIC, and served as associate movement director for the Heartbeat Opera/Opera Lafayette production of La Susanna and the recent Heartbeat Opera film, Breathing Free. Performance highlights include: Ashley Fure’s Filament at the NY Philharmonic, The First National Tour of SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical, the 74th annual Tony Awards on CBS, and productions with Broadway Sacramento, Goodspeed Opera House, The Alliance Theatre, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, and Opera Carolina. She holds a B.A. in Dance and Philosophy from Barnard College.
